The 925's give you a wake up call! · 5 May 2008
It might look like a weird thing to do: moving from the bubbling Britpop city of London to the Dutch city of Eindhoven. A lot of bands would kill to be able to do exactly the opposite. It has been a smart and major move for The 925’s, though. Otherwise we might have never held their debut album Time To Wake Up in our trembling hands.
Comparisons to other Britpop bands may be easily made, but be careful: these lads have their own agenda. The 925’s wear torn jeans and dirty all-stars instead of ironed pairs of trousers, which is reflected in their sound. A little bit rougher and tougher than the rest, their single Wake Up for example captures the band working at full force. Already steady guests on the Dutch national radio and TV, now even world famous Dutch Rockers Golden Earring have taken the band under their wings for touring. Time To Wake Up!
